A large Tibetan gau displaying the deity Chakrasamvara or Korlo Demchog in union with Vajrayogini. This piece is very unusual in that the deities have been beautifully carved into the front and the reverse is engraved with a double vajra motif.
Gaus of this size were often worn as portable shrines and they would also house small statues and relics.
