A wonderful old human thigh bone trumpet. Covered in the traditional manner in leather to give added protection to the bone. It has also been ornamented with white metal (not tested for silver) and this is mounted with imitation turquoise and coral.
It is now almost impossible to source genuine old pieces from the Himalayan regions. This is a very playable authentic ritual instrument that remains robust and is still suitable for practice.
Condition: Mostly very good with minor weathering to the metalwork. Minor weathering to the leather and patina commensurate with age. Still robust!
Genuine human thigh bone.
Age: mid 20th C or earlier
