A lovely original pair of Tibetan silver repoussé Kirtimukha buckles. Both pieces are inlaid with turquoise cabochons. The Kirtimukha or 'Face of Majesty' is common to the iconography of Hindu and Buddhist architecture. It is often seen above doorways and protecting the entrance to temples.
