A rare antique coconut kapala that has been encased with copper and has four raised skulls on the rim. The actual bowl is crafted from coconut which has long been used to represent the human skull in Indian traditions. Indeed, coconuts are often offered in Hindu temples in lieu of blood sacrifices. A lovely one of a kind piece!

Origin: Tibet/Himalayan
Condition: Mostly excellent with patina commensurate with age.
(small surface fissue on the coconut)
