A miniature Vajrayana painting that would be known in Mongolia as a " burhany zurag". This piece represents four armed Chenrezig and the head of Buddha Amitabha can be seen at the apex. Pieces such as this were typically worn in a gau as a protective amulet or kept inside a small traveling shrine.
