A nice example of an antique Tibetan leather Chuckmuk purse. Ornamented on the front and reverse with silver and brass metalwork, both displaying floral, bat and bird motifs. There are also additional silver buttons with the Gakyil or 'wheel of joy' design. The front is inlaid with coral. The top and bottom is strengthened with brass and suspension hoops to allow it to be hung from a strap. A great piece with a lovely usage patina.
