A delightful Tibetan butter container crafted from wood. This very old piece still has the leftover smell of Tibetan butter and was clearly used as a butter container for many years. The handle of the removeable lid appears to be made from woven Yak hair.
Origin: Collected in Tibet in the 1980s and part of the Stone Routes Collection.
