This piece has been elevated to a type of Thokcha and was acquired already strung so that it could be worn as an amulet. It is likely that it originally formed part of stand that supported a water torma offering bowl. Two Makara heads can be seen in the centre of this piece. It has a lovely patina from age and handling.
