A rare gemstone amulet depicting Karma Pakshi, the second Gyalwa Karmapa. Carved entirely from ruby he is seen seated in his traditional posture wielding a vajra and phurba. The reverse side has been polished smooth.
The ruby carving has been framed with hand beaten 22 kt gold and it has a suspension hoop at the apex. The ancient style gold work is incredibly striking and complements the ruby very nicely.
This amulet was a special commission and is therefore unique and one of a kind.
