Unique and one of a kind. Carved by special commission.

A miniature gemstone cabochon depicting the Buddha Amitabha. Carved from a single gemmy pink tourmaline crystal. It has a lovely translucent vibrant colour with a very nice lustre.

The name Tourmaline derives from the expeditions to Asia by Marco Polo (c.1254 to 1324 AD), where the Sanskrit name “Turmali” was given to stones possessing multiple colours or rainbow colors. Upon his return, this gemstone was accepted as “Turmali Stein” which has later become Tourmaline.

Condition: Mostly Excellent (all blemishes are inherent in the material).
