Buddha Akshobhya (Tibetan: Mitrugpa) is one of the principle Dhyani Buddhas. The name Akshobya means 'immovable one' and he is seen here holding a Vajra or Dorje, the principle symbol of the Vajra family. He represents the transformation of anger or hatred into mirror-like wisdom.
