A pure quartz crystal piṇḍapāta. The alms bowl is often associated with the historical Buddha and can also be viewed as a symbol of non attachment. The Piṇḍapāta can also be kept on your shrine and used to make special offerings.
According to one legend, when the Buddha began meditating beneath the Bodhi Tree, a young woman offered him a golden bowl filled with rice, thinking he was the divinity of the tree. He divided the rice into 49 portions (one for each day until he became enlightened) and then threw the precious bowl into the river.
