Lapis Mani Mantra - Fine Art Print by Tashi Mannox
Historically, sacred mantras were held in the highest regard and honored in pure gold lettering on tablets of precious lapis lazuli. Bowing to this ancient tradition, Tashi Mannox has created the Mani mantra oṃ maṇipadme hūṃ according to the classical divine proportionate construction of the Tibetan Uchen script, that sits upon a flowing lapis like background.
The Mani mantra is deep and vast in meaning; it said to have great benefit to who speaks, hears or sees this liberating mantra that is the embodiment of infinite understanding engendering impartial loving-kindness. Such sacred mantras are usually placed high within a household, especially above a doorway that one often passes through, which is considered to bless, purify and protect the family members and their environment.
