An extremely rare Mahakala statue that has been masterfully carved from deer antler. It depicts the wrathful manifestation of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of compassion. In this form as Nyingshuk he is particularly associated with the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. His practice was also later adopted by the Gelugpa lineage.
Here Mahakala displays one face and six arms, each holding a weapon or ritual item. This is a powerful piece and a special one off item. Not to be confused with cheaper water buffalo bone carvings that are offered elsewhere.
